FBSHApost@24 December 2016: Forcing a Square Peg in a Round Hole is not the Answer

Sometimes we are too proud to acknowledge that others know more and better than us. For that reason Islam asked us to be humble in knowledge, status and wealth. Often we judge and make opinion on others wrongly because we have preconceived ideas about them.

That is why God reminded us in the appointments to positions to make sure the right person or experts of that particular field be appointed; otherwise wait for the day of doom. Looking from a distance is not the same from being near or to be there.

The English has a saying forcing a square peg in a round hole is not the answer. It would exacerbate the situation further. The problems in ASEAN can only be solved in ASEAN taking the lead; be it in diplomacy, advocacy or socio-economic cooperation.

Looking at it from afar is not the same no matter how qualified we are.
