2015 has been a tumultuous year in every respect. I don't feel like penning them down initially as there were too many things that happened... But Malaysia has been a lucky and blessed country.
We are living in a restless generation where many of the good old values are no longer acceptable. People demand and they are not easily satisfied. The year that just passed two days ago left us with new experiences and challenges.
We are not short of political discords, scandals related to business or politics.... There is security threats that threaten safety and stability of the country. Socio-cultural misunderstandings and gaps are getting more pronounced. We are chasing to become a developed nation and high income country. With globalism and capitalism we are witnessing the widening of disparities between classes of society.
Additionally with the rising cost of living and graduate unemployment at the highest it further adds to the stress in the country. Against this backdrop of turmoil and many uncertainties, Malaysia seems to find its way towards resolution of the issues confronting the leadership and government. We have to admit that it's a more complex and difficult time 2015...It does not mean that 2016 is going to be a better period. But we hope and pray that 2016 is going to be a healthier and prosperous year for the country and its people.
Government would not only just be seen white but cleaner than white, just and sensitive to the woes of the rakyat. The best of government is one where there is unity and cohesion in the team managing the country with transparency and good governance. We welcome 2016 with open arms to embrace humanity and justice.
